Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Speech, an English learning application, is used as an objective for better listening skills in English. We developed a new type of English learning application based on what we want as non-English natives who live in the US. We hope that our new English learning method will help everyone who seriously wants to improve listening capability for doing business in English, studying abroad or living in English speaking countries.

[Overview]

Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Speech is very simple and useful; it has about 5 minutes English speeches with English subtitles. Each speech is divided into short sections, and you can play and pause by section with listening and reading. This application is great for learning for those people who can read English, but aren't capable of listening to it correctly because you can check to see if you heard everything right by checking the subtitles.

[How to use]

1. Program List screen
When launched, Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Speech shows the program lists. If new programs are available via Internet, they will be added. When you choose the program,
Martin Luther King, Jr.'s Speech starts downloading it. Once the program is downloaded, it's cached in the application and you don't have to download it again. After downloaded, you can start listening it.

2. Player screen
==AUDIO==
“Play” button: Starts/pause the program.
“Rewind” button: Rewinds the program, a section at a time.
“Forward” button: Forwards the program, a section at a time.
The top slider also lets you skip from section to section. The numbers on the right of the slider shows the section number and the length of the program. The numbers on the left indicates the current section number and the elapsed time.

==PLAY MODES==
Use the menu right below the program title to switch between the 4 play modes.
“Continuous”: Plays the entire program.
“Auto stop”: Automatically stops at the end of each section. If you tap the “Play” button after it stops, the program will repeat the same section. If you tap the “Rewind” or “Forward” button, the next/previous section will start.
“Auto pause”: Pauses for a specified period of time before playing each section. You can control the length of the pause in the Settings screen.
“Ruminate”: Pause length is based on the length of the current section that just played. The pause multiplication factor can be changed in the Settings screen.

==SUBTITLES==
“Show caption”: displays English subtitles.
“Hide caption”: hides subtitles.

3. Settings screen
Any settings configured in this screen, current play mode and caption preference will be automatically saved when you close the application.
